Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer

The Position:

An exciting opening has arisen for a suitably qualified Multi-Skilled Maintenance Shift Engineer to join the team in Dagenham. As a Maintenance Shift Engineer your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Risk assessing all jobs before work begins.
  • Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and lubrication schedule on plant assets such as: pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
  • Completion of reactive tasks as per defect list, obtain readings from various on-site meters and completion of relevant check sheets.
  • Assisting with contractor and third-party asset services and general housekeeping.
  • Complete all logs and job sheets as required.
  • Actively participate in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principals.
  • Be expected to adhere to all Site’s Health and Safety Regulations and required to attend Health and Safety, Fire and Welfare Training both on and off site.
  • To install and maintain equipment ensuring minimum interruptions to production.
  • To assist in any other duties and ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested by the Management Team.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Hold a minimum CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Engineering experience (this would be advantageous if this was in the AD industry).
  • Experienced in working with and applying isolations and isolation systems LOTO (Mechanical and Electrical).
  • Dual skilled mechanical / electrical is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of Centrifugal, Lobe, Diaphragm, and screw pumps.
  • Able to replace shafts seals and bearings, pipework, fittings, and couplings.
  • Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
  • Must be used to working at height.
  • Basic IT Skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Have an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Be able to communicate well and professionally at all levels.
  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Process Operator (Rotating Shift)

We are recruiting for experienced and forward thinking Process Operator for rotating shift. This is full time and 6 months contract position and working for very well established international company. Very interesting and varied role with a scope for progression.

The Main responsibilities will include:

  • The manufacture of dispersion products and accurately completing batch documentation; along with complying with Good Manufacturing Practice and Health & Safety requirements.
  • Duties will also include liaison with Quality Control staff on the timely passing of batches and assisting in utility functions if requested.

Candidates should have a GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths, but previous experience of the job is not a necessity. An ability to work within a team, be highly motivated and have a flexible approach with plenty of initiative are also required. It is essential too that candidates are computer literate in Excel and Word. It would be desirable to have experience of continuous improvement initiatives and working with automated systems.

The Rotating Shift Pattern is below:-

  • Monday to Friday 6am to 2pm
  • Monday to Friday 1.50pm to 10pm (finishing at 8.30pm on Friday)

Premier Recruitment group is a leading recruitment agency based in Dartford. We are currently seeking experienced and reliable, Van Drivers for our client who are based in Bermondsey. If you enjoy driving, have a strong work ethic, and take pride in your work, we want to hear from you!
You will be delivering bottles of beers, wine and spirits as well as kegs, also collections of used bottles and kegs, across the surrounding area.
This will be an 7am start with a 3.30 finish as a minimum Tuesday to Friday.
Key Responsibilities:
* Safely operating the van to deliver Beers, wines and Spirits to commercial businesses, and residential locations.

* Adhere to all road safety regulations and traffic laws.
