Job Summary

The Goods In Person is responsible for receiving, checking, and storing incoming deliveries to ensure that all goods are accurate, undamaged, and properly recorded. The role supports warehouse operations by maintaining efficient stock control and ensuring goods are available for production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receive and unload incoming deliveries from suppliers and transport companies.

  • Check deliveries against purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices.

  • Inspect goods for damage, shortages, or discrepancies and report issues.

  • Accurately record received goods in the inventory management system.

  • Label, store, and organise products in the correct warehouse locations.

  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organised goods-in area.

  • Coordinate with warehouse, procurement, and logistics teams regarding deliveries.

  • Follow health and safety procedures when handling goods and equipment.

  • Assist with stock counts and inventory audits when required.

  • Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet trucks or forklifts (if trained).

Skills and Qualifications

  • Previous experience in warehouse, logistics, or goods receiving is preferred.

  • Basic computer skills for stock systems and documentation.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Good organisational and time management skills.

  • Ability to lift and move heavy items safely.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.

Education and Certifications

  • Forklift licence or warehouse equipment certification.

The Role:

  • Multi-drop deliveries to builder’s merchants and shop loading bays
  • Same route daily for consistency
  • Early morning starts: 4:30am – 1:30pm with a 1-hour lunch break
  • Driving automatic or manual vans
  • You’ll be paid 40 hours per week, even if you complete your route early!

  • Ensure that all steps are taken to maintain the health of people living within the home. Play a supporting role to Senior Managers regarding the Contract Monitoring process, providing reports and management information on the conduct of the home where this is necessary.
  • Liaise with external Agencies as appropriate, and ensure that contact between the staff team and those Agencies is conducted in a professional manner.
  • Work with the Personnel Department in supporting the recruitment and selection of staff, and assist the Area Manager in the formulation of staffing strategies, Policies and Procedures, and other pieces of managerial work as required

Electrical and Mechanical Engineer

Premier Recruitment Group is working in partnership with a well established and international organisation in Dartford to recruit an Multiskilled Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting, full-time and permanent role.

The working hours are Monday to Friday 1.50pm to 10pm (finishing at 8.30pm on Friday).

The salary is up to £52,000 with an additional 20% shift premium = £62,400

Additional yearly 6% company target bonus based on overall company performance.

Job scope:

  • To assist with planning, and then carry out general repairs / fault finding, maintenance, routine and major of machinery and service equipment, in order that downtime is minimised and that adequate records and files for all works are maintained.
  • To provide maintenance support inside and outside the manufacturing plant.
  • Where required, produce and modify records, drawings and diagrams relative to Plant and associated areas, and all other areas that have been worked on.
  • To ensure all daily checks and calibration tasks that are the responsibility of the Engineering Department are carried out on time, correctly and in line with SOPs.

  • To carry out duties in line with the Company’s Quality Assurance Policy, SOPs and within strict cGMP guidelines, ensuring current engineering practices are reflected in the relevant SOP.
  • To ensure your own safety and that of others at all times during all Maintenance and Engineering operations.
  • To ensure that all work carried out is to best practice guidelines
  • To ensure that all equipment prior to maintenance is isolated safely / securely, and following maintenance / other work is handed back in a state of safe working order.

Skills:

  • Associated City & Guilds / ONC / HNC / NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

Given the nature and range of the equipment that our client uses (i.e. vacuum pumps, glassware under vacuum, motors, seals, steel pipework up to 4 inches and steam, vacuum and water pipes) and the age profile of some assets, the key requirement would be a strong, versatile, pragmatic and knowledge base, rather than a fully specialised mechanical technician from day one. We are looking for:

  • Solid hands-on experience with pipework, especially stainless steel, carbon steel and copper, including installation, repair, and modification
  • A basic understanding of electrical isolators, switches, and fault-finding at a practical level
  • Familiarity with low-pressure pneumatic systems, including valves and actuators

With this foundation, the individual could then be developed internally to build more specialised skills specific to the plant. This would include working with glass pipework and glass components but can be learned on site with existing Maintenance Engineer.

This approach would allow us to bring in someone with the right technical base while ensuring knowledge transfer from and building long-term the maintenance function.

We have to stress the need for a broad maintenance background, the need to be able to plan, order and justify spends on materials and equipment etc. We would expect the successful candidate to have strong IT skills and understand the need for working within the food industry strict protocols and standards l – BRC, HACCP. This means only food grade materials can be used, strict PPE adherence and post maintenance sign off and sanitation.
