Key Responsibilities

– Diagnose tree health issues through regular inspection and recommend appropriate solutions.

-Physical Fitness: Ability to walk for extended periods of time to undertake on-site inspections. To be able to perform manual work in all weather conditions.

– Team Player: Capable of working collaboratively with others to meet goals.

– A full UK driving license is essential.

As a Maintenance Shift Engineer your duties and responsibilities will vary based on the Company’s requirements but will include:

  • Risk assessing all jobs before work begins.
  • Undertaking planned preventative maintenance and lubrication schedule on plant assets such as: pumps, motors, gearboxes, and valves
  • Completion of reactive tasks as per defect list, obtain readings from various on-site meters and completion of relevant check sheets.
  • Assisting with contractor and third-party asset services and general housekeeping.
  • Complete all logs and job sheets as required.
  • Actively participate in projects, continuous improvement, and modern manufacturing principals.
  • Be expected to adhere to all Site’s Health and Safety Regulations and required to attend Health and Safety, Fire and Welfare Training both on and off site.
  • To install and maintain equipment ensuring minimum interruptions to production.
  • To assist in any other duties and ad hoc projects as and when required.
  • Undertaking any other duties reasonably requested by the Management Team.

Requirements:

  • Hold a recognised apprenticeship.
  • Hold a minimum CGLI or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.
  • Engineering experience (this would be advantageous if this was in the AD industry).
  • Experienced in working with and applying isolations and isolation systems LOTO (Mechanical and Electrical).
  • Dual skilled mechanical / electrical is desirable but not essential.
  • Experience of Centrifugal, Lobe, Diaphragm, and screw pumps.
  • Able to replace shafts seals and bearings, pipework, fittings, and couplings.
  • Confident with valve replacements and basic pneumatics.
  • Must be used to working at height.
  • Basic IT Skills.
  • Have a flexible approach to working hours.
  • Have an analytical approach to problem solving.
  • Be able to communicate well and professionally at all levels.
  • Be able to work on your own or as part of a team with minimal supervision.

Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking to appoint a Mechanical Design Engineer to produce mechanical design/drawings mechanical systems and equipment to work within a small team of mechanical design engineers overseen by the drawing office manager.

Responsibilities:

  • Generating manufacturing drawings and equipment layouts, with supporting mechanical documentation (schedules, bill of materials, sub-assembly drawings, schematics, etc.)
  • Maintaining existing mechanical drawings and documentation when existing equipment is upgraded or modified.
  • Act as a liaison between the drawing office and mechanical technicians/sub-suppliers, and work with other departments as necessary to ensure the correct parts are ordered/supplied for assembly.
  • Liaise with the Drawing Office Manager for the workload to ensure project time lines are adhered to and any deviation is communicated to the project team.
  • Ensure all mechanical drawings are updated in a timely manner throughout the life-cycle of the project and shared with all relevant departments, along with maintaining current correct revisions in the data-management system (Autodesk Vault)

Experience and Knowledge:

Essential

  • Working knowledge in an industrial/design environment of Autodesk products, including AutoCAD (2D), Inventor (3D), Autodesk Vault (User only), although other 3D CAD software knowledge may be considered, such as SolidWorks etc.
  • Experience in drafting standards for BS 8888
  • Mechanical design experience in a working environment in an industrial design role
  • Recognised engineering certification/apprenticeship
  • Good understanding of engineering techniques, including machining, sheet metal,fabrication
  • Able to interpret equipment assembly drawings and maintain the high-quality finish and output levels expected by our customers
  • Able to operate within the requirements of good health and safety discipline
  • Able to adhere to the requirements of current industry-recognised engineering design standards

Desirable:

  • Familiarity with Automated production machinery or other similar equipment
  • Experience in a project environment across a multi-functional project team

  • Understanding of airflow and ductwork design and calculations

essential. Ability to maintain focus and care when actioning the tasks of higher repetition will be essential.

Duties are as follows:

  • Preparation of base materials, machining and lock assembly.
  • Assembling frameworks and fitting to machinery lines.
  • Dis-assembly of tested lines and preparation of items ready for transport and assembly at customers sites
  • Small amount of pneumatic assembly
  • Assembly, commissioning, support and service work at customers’ sites
  • A certain amount of travel may be required to support installation to our worldwide customer base.

  • Assisting with the ongoing drawing transition from AutoCAD to EPLAN, working with the rest of the Automation Department to agree on methods of working and drawing standards
  • Generating electrical drawings and panel Layouts, with supporting electrical documentation (Bill of Materials, Component Lists, Cable Schedules, Terminal Rail Layouts etc.)
  • Ensure all electrical drawings are updated promptly throughout the lifecycle of the project and shared with all relevant departments
  • Maintain a database of preferred electrical devices to ensure consistency in functional hardware from project to project

Experience & Knowledge:

  • Formal Electrical Engineering Qualification (e.g. apprenticeship)
  • In-depth knowledge of EPLAN P8 and Pro Panel 3D is a necessity
  • An EPLAN Certified Engineer (ECE) qualification

  • Assemble components on to chassis plate and fix accordingly
  • Using the issued wiring diagrams wire the control panel working with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician
  • Mark up wiring diagrams as panel wiring completed and raising any errors detected with the Electrical Design Draughtsman and Automation Technician

Test Technician
