Hygiene Technician
Maidstone, Kent
£14.00 per hour (weekly pay)
Monday-Friday | 3/4pm – 12:30am (8-9 hour shifts)

Premier Recruitment Group is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and rapidly growing Fresh Produce company based in Maidstone, to recruit a dedicated and proactive Hygiene Technician to join their evening team.

This is a hands-on role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced food production environment and takes pride in maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

• Machinery Cleaning & Maintenance
• Dismantle, deep-clean, and reassemble production machinery to meet food safety regulations
• Use cleaning agents safely and in line with COSHH standards
• Conduct basic maintenance tasks, including lubrication and minor repairs

Factory Hygiene & Compliance

• Carry out deep cleaning across floors, drains, surfaces, and production areas
• Maintain accurate hygiene records and report faults or risks
• Ensure strict adherence to hygiene and food safety protocols

Health & Safety

• Always wear PPE and follow Lockout-Tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work environment

Requirements:

• Previous experience in hygiene or cleaning within food production/manufacturing
• Comfortable dismantling and reassembling machinery
• Knowledge of HACCP, COSHH, and food safety standards
• Strong team player with excellent attention to detail
• Physically fit and able to work night shifts

Desirable (Not Essential):

• Experience in the fresh produce or fruit industry
• Basic mechanical or engineering skills
• Level 2 Food Safety or Hygiene Certification
